Brisbane South PHN seeks to improve whole-of-life health and wellbeing of people across our region through a well-coordinated and collaborative primary health sector. Through our vision of Better System, Better Health, we work with a range of primary health care services, health professionals, government and non-government organisations to improve health and wellbeing in our region, particularly for those people at risk of poor health outcomes.

Brisbane South PHN is a public company limited by guarantee and one of 31 Primary Health Networks created across Australia to address local health needs and national health priorities. Our governance structure is designed to provide strategic direction and integration of care across the health system. Our Board is skills based and we value diversity across professional competencies, age, gender, culture and languages.

Brisbane South PHN is seeking expressions of interest for Non-Executive Board director positions. Applications will be reviewed by a Nominations Committee. Successful candidates will have a genuine interest and commitment to the purpose of the organisation, appropriate technical skills, industry background and experience.

In particular, the organisation is looking for experience in commissioning and/or providing mental health services across the primary healthcare sector, an understanding of the opportunities which exist for the PHN moving forward, Board knowledge and experience.
