Queensland Health has been requested to coordinate the development and implementation of statewide Clinical Prioritisation Criteria (CPC). CPC developed as part of the initial development phase have recently been reviewed by the Clinical Advisory Groups that developed them. These Clinical Advisory Groups include medical specialists, general practitioners, nursing and allied health professionals and are led by a medical specialist.

Queensland Health is seeking feedback on the following CPC specialties. The proposed amendments are highlighted in grey on the attached documents so they can clearly identified.

  1. Ear, nose and throat (adult)
  2. Ear, nose and throat (paediatric)
  3. General surgery
  4. Gynaecology
  5. Neurology
  6. Ophthalmology
  7. Plastics and reconstructive surgery
  8. Urology
  9. Vascular surgery

The CPC content will also be incorporated within HealthPathways® and the electronic referral solution currently being developed by Queensland Health.
