The Brisbane South PHN Refugee Health Program is excited to announce it will expand to more proactively address the health needs of people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
The newly formed Multicultural Health Program will continue its strong involvement in refugee health and will also become more involved in the wider multicultural health space.
“The Brisbane South PHN region is home to more than 46 per cent of Queensland’s entire culturally and linguistically diverse population. It is also home to more than 68 per cent of Queensland’s refugee population,” Brisbane South PHN Program Coordinator – Multicultural Health Andrea Vancia says.
“One of Brisbane South PHN’s key goals is to support people to access culturally appropriate healthcare.”
