The Heart Foundation’s One Heart 2018-2020 Strategy is underpinned by the five pillars of: ‘Prevention, Support and Care, Research, Strengthening our Organisation and Our People’. One Heart shapes the way the Heart Foundation reduces the impact of risk factors, how they support Australians affected by heart disease, with a special focus on communities disproportionately affected by heart disease, and fund the next generation of the nation’s best researchers. Their aim is to fund the highest impact research in heart disease, and seek to fund research that reduces the risk and impact of heart disease and improves outcomes for people living with heart disease.
In order to identify gaps in knowledge that align with the Heart Foundation strategy, they are seeking your contribution. The Heart Foundation aims to identify topics that align with their strategy and address knowledge/evidence gaps in:
- reducing the prevalence and impact of risk factors for heart disease
- improving health outcomes for Australians living with heart conditions, with focus on acute coronary syndrome (heart attack or unstable angina), heart failure, valvular heart disease and arrhythmias.
They are seeking responses from a wide cross section of the community, including researchers, health professionals and those living with heart disease.
