The National Allergy Strategy is an important project addressing the epidemic of allergic disease in Australia, particularly with a recognition of capacity constraints and the consequent need to more closely engage with general practice.

As you know, general practice has an important role in the prevention, management and appropriate referral of patients with allergic conditions. Clear feedback from GPs who understand the health system broadly is essential to the strategy’s success.

The National Allergy Strategy invites GPs to complete an online survey about providing health care to people with allergic conditions. The survey is your opportunity to detail how you typically manage and refer these patients, and whether you think a shared-care model for allergic conditions could improve access to quality care.

The survey takes about 20 minutes to complete and can be accessed here until Wednesday 20 February 2019.
