Our Clinical Advisory Council
Brisbane South PHN’s Clinical Advisory Council advises on clinical issues to enable Brisbane South PHN’s Board to make informed decisions on the unique needs of our community.
Council members are appointed for a two-year term and help Brisbane South PHN develop local strategies to improve the operation of the health care system for patients, and facilitates effective primary healthcare to reduce avoidable hospital presentations and admissions. Input helps inform and guide the development of Brisbane South PHN’s strategy through recommendations to the Brisbane South PHN Board.
Our Clinical Advisory Council is GP-led but comprised of other health professionals, including nurses, allied and community health, Aboriginal health workers, specialists and hospital representatives. They advise and influence the Board on opportunities to improve medical and healthcare services through strategic, cost-effective investment and innovation.
