Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workforce Forum

In this forum we will hear from Kirrily Phillips a First Nations Oral Health Therapist. Kirrily is the lead of the Australian Dental Associations Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander education resources and has an extended scope of practicing in adult restorative care.

The focus of this forum will include the importance Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander dental health. This session will discuss:
• Links between oral health and diabetes
• The importance of keeping a healthy mouth
• How to best look after oral health
• When to refer clients to specialist
• Services that are available for clients
