About the Webinar
It is estimated that female genital mutilation/cutting (FGM/C) affects over 200 million women and girls across the world and that potentially 53,000 girls and women living in Australia had undergone FGM/C during their lifetime (AIHW, 2019). Australia is part of the global effort to end FGM/C by 2030 and also has an important role to support women living in Australia who have experienced FGM/C to enjoy optimal health. What is being done and what can we do to ensure our efforts are effective?  In this webinar a panel of experts and health professionals in the field will discuss the latest evidence, new developments and best practice in FGM/C clinical practice and community support. Essential viewing for any health professional working with women who may have experienced FGM/C. This webinar is brought to you by NETFA.
