Metro South GP Maternity Shared Care Alignment 1 – Logan/Beaudesert/Redland
The Metro South GP Maternity Shared Care Team, in partnership with Mater Mothers Hospital, is hosting an Alignment 1 (AM1) education seminar on 11 November from 8am to 4pm at the Quality Hotel Robertson Gardens, Nathan.
It is recognised that the GP plays an integral role in the primary health care of a family and is best placed to support a pregnant woman and her family through their healthcare journey.
The GP Maternity Alignment Program seeks to update GPs about ever-changing recommended investigations during pregnancy, including the soon to be Medicare funded Genetic Carrier Screening, communication pathways, medication use and recommendations for care of the common presentations and the not so common, but important presentations.
The practical seminar is tailored for practitioners that provide maternity care to women within Logan, Beaudesert and Redland catchments. This education day will be attended by GPs, Obstetricians, Midwives, and our Allied Health colleagues.
Attendance at the AM1 education day and successful completion of the post event quiz will qualify GPs to be recognised as aligned for three years with Metro South HHS (for GP Shared Care).
