Metro South GP Maternity Shared Care Alignment 1
­The GP Maternity Shared Care team are hosting an Alignment 1 (AM1) practical education seminar tailored for practitioners that provide maternity care to women within Logan, Redland and Beaudesert catchments. It is recognised that the GP plays an integral role in the primary health care of a family and is best placed to support a pregnant woman and her family through their healthcare journey.

NOTE: This activity can be self-recorded with your CPD Home for 3 Educational activity hours and 1.5 Reviewing Outcomes hours.

This event is followed by – INITIAL ASSESSMENT AND REFERRAL FOR MENTAL HEALTHCARE (IAR) WORKSHOP  from 2pm to 4 pm

The IAR initiative provides a tool to assist general practitioners and clinicians to recommend the most appropriate level of care for a person seeking mental health support. GPs involved in managing mental health in primary care are invited to attend the Initial Assessment and Referral – Decision Support Tool (IAR-DST) training workshop on the effective use of the IAR-DST and how it can be implemented into practice.

NOTE: GPs will receive a $300 remuneration payment* for IAR Training completion.

* Payment is not available to other medical staff or clinicians. Not available for GPs working in Commonwealth funded services (e.g. Adult Mental Health Centres, Aboriginal Medical Centres) unless training is completed outside of paid employment.

This is an RACGP-approved CPD activity under the RACGP Program
