Event Details

The ‘Moving Forward with the NDIS’ forum will explore lessons learnt from previous NDIS readiness activities and workshop new ideas for future community engagement in Logan. The NDIS is the new way of providing support for people with disability, their families and carers. The NDIS will become available in the Logan LGA from 1 July 2018. Our goal is to establish a best practice approach for working and engaging with communities in Logan who experience disadvantage, social isolation or who are hard to reach.

This forum will assist frontline staff who:

  • Work with potential NDIS participants, their families and natural supports
  • Engage with members of the community who are unlikely to become NDIS participants but require information and connection to community services
  • Work across in government services in Health, Mental Health, Education, Early Childhood Development, Justice, Housing and Employment.
