Pelvic mesh management: Webinar for general practitioners

The Queensland Pelvic Mesh Service (QPMS) invites General Practitioners to join a webinar on the management and treatment
options for complications associated with pelvic mesh.

Mesh has been used in pelvic floor surgery for over twenty years; however, its use is not without complications. Following the 2017 Senate inquiry into the Number of women in Australia who have
had transvaginal mesh implants and related matters, all vaginally placed mesh for pelvic organ prolapse was removed from market by the
Therapeutic Goods Administration, and a tertiary service dedicated to managing women with mesh related complications was established.

The Queensland Pelvic Mesh Service is a service co-designed with consumers. Since 2019, QPMS has provided over 900 women with
comprehensive care for their pelvic mesh related complications and was awarded statewide service recognition in 2021.

Identifying and caring for these patients can be challenging. As a team, we will be presenting in this webinar some guidance to assist you in looking after these patients. Join us for an informative and interactive evening.
