Podsquad Showcase for Health Professionals

Health and Wellbeing Queensland is excited to launch Podsquad – a FREE play-based wellbeing program to help children and their families build healthy habits together.

Podsquad’s content and resources have been produced by clinicians and childhood health subject matter experts from Health and Wellbeing Queensland, The University of Queensland and across the health sector. The app has been co-designed with over 300 Queensland children aged 5-12 years and their families.

Families make lasting changes by exploring the topics of nutrition, physical activity and wellbeing through a behavioural science framework. No referral is required for Podsquad, any family can download the app for free from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

If you are interested in finding out more about Podsquad, please join one of our virtual sessions designed for Queensland’s network of Health Professionals. These exclusive showcases will provide an overview of the evidence and frameworks underpinning this incredible program created for Queensland’s families. We’ll take you on a journey through the app demonstrating how Podsquad can be used across clinical settings, as an at-home prevention tool, adjunct to active treatment, or wait-list option for families. Health professionals will learn how Podsquad can be integrated into clinical practice to support families to make sustainable behaviour change.

We encourage all GPs, nurses, allied health professionals and medical practitioners supporting children and families with nutrition, physical activity, sleep and wellbeing, to register for one of the two online sessions available.
