Respiratory Disease with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders
From 2015-2019, respiratory diseases were the fourth leading cause of death among Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, accounting for 10% of all deaths.1 Between 2017-2019, Indigenous Australians were 2.4 times as likely to be hospitalised for respiratory diseases than non-Indigenous Australians.**after adjusting for differences in the age structure between the two populations.
We invite health care professionals to join us for this webinar to address the significant gap in health outcomes and support Indigenous Australians to better manage their respiratory health.
