Counselling support available for primary health professionals
Brisbane South PHN has extended its Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) to all primary health professionals and staff to support their wellbeing during the stresses of COVID-19. The EAP provides a high-quality, short-term, professional counselling service to assist with personal and work-related issues.
The program is available to all staff working in community pharmacy, general practices, Aboriginal Medical Services and private allied health practices in the Brisbane south region. The program is confidential and no identifying information is reported back to Brisbane South PHN.
To access this support, call 1800 818 728, state that you are calling for the Brisbane South PHN EAP and identify yourself as ‘primary care’ staff. Consultations can also be booked via the website. For more information, watch the COVID-19 Conversation on mental health and wellbeing for primary health professionals, or download this poster for your practice.
Contact your Regional Support Coordinator to discuss options for arranging or accessing EAP-run resilience and other wellbeing skills workshops for your practice staff.
