Brisbane South PHN Immunisation Catchup

Event Description:

This practical session will provide practice nurses and vaccine service providers in the Brisbane South PHN area with the knowledge to perform vaccination catch-ups.

If you are new to planning vaccination catch-ups, have limited knowledge of initiating immunisation catch up schedules or wish to update your knowledge you will benefit from attending this session.

Prior to attending this education session, it is recommended you complete the Queensland Health Immunisation Program - Online Course.

Participants are requested to bring along a personal device (A laptop is prefered) to access the online catch up resources.

AUDIENCE: GPs, practice nurses and vaccine service providers in the Brisbane south region

SPEAKERS: Public Health Nurse, Metro South Public Health Unit

TOPICS:

  • how to start a catch-up for children less than 10 years of age
  • special considerations – medical at risk, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, priority populations
  • catch-up scenarios
  • immunisation records

TIME:
Registration and meal: 5.00pm
Start: 5.30pm
Finish: 7.30pm

COST: Free, Light meal will be provided
