Medicare Urgent Care Clinics (UCCs) provide free care and treatment for a range of urgent, but not life threatening, conditions and injuries, so you don’t have to wait at your local emergency department.

Location and hours

The Oxley Medicare Urgent Care Clinic is operated by Growlife Medical Oxley and is located in the grounds of Canossa Hospital, at 169 Seventeen Mile Rocks Road, Oxley QLD 4075.

The clinic is open 7 days a week, from 8am to 8pm, for walk-in treatment. No appointment is needed.

What is urgent health care?

Urgent care is when you need same-day medical attention for an illness or injury that can be managed without a trip to the emergency department, but cannot wait for a regular appointment with a general practitioner (GP).

What can Medicare Urgent Care Clinics treat?

Medicare UCCs provide acute episodic care and treatment that does not require a hospital admission. This may include:

  • minor infections

  • minor fractures, sprains, sports injuries and neck and back pain

  • urinary tract infections (UTIs)

  • sexually transmitted infections (STIs)

  • minor cuts

  • insect bites and rashes

  • minor eye and ear problems

  • respiratory illness

  • gastroenteritis

  • mild burns.
