Having recently been awarded the RACGP Queensland General Practice of the year, we are excited to be launching a new model of care for patients in the local community - Oxley Medicare Urgent Care Clinic.

As an Urgent Care Clinic Nurse Practitioner Full-Time/ Part-time, you'll be at the forefront of delivering high-quality, patient-centred care within the Urgent Care Clinic (UCC). Working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team, you'll assess, diagnose, and treat a diverse range of acute and chronic health conditions.

Key Responsibilities
As a core member of our Urgent Care team, your responsibilities will include:
• Provide advanced clinical care in emergency settings.
• Undertaking comprehensive triage assessment of all patients
• Lead and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team.
• Perform advanced clinical procedures within scope of practice.
• Collaboratively delivering patient-centred care
• Contribute to achieving positive clinical outcomes
• Providing essential health education to patients as needed
• Thriving in a fast paced, dynamic clinical environment
• Ensuring meticulous and timely completion of all documentation and program deliverables

The Team:
The Urgent Care Clinic team plays a critical role in providing immediate care to the community. Comprising of experienced physicians, registered nurses, and support staff, the team works collaboratively to assess, diagnose, and manage acute medical conditions. Their multidisciplinary approach ensures timely and effective treatment for patients, while their integration with broader health services, such as primary care and public health, supports holistic care and continuity. Through their efforts, the team serves as the frontline responder, enhancing health outcomes and contributing to the overall well-being of the community.

Requirements of the role
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
• AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with endorsement as a Nurse Practitioner

**Emergency Triage experience **

• Experience in recognising and appropriately responding to health deterioration in a clinical setting
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, paired with keen critical thinking
• The ability to work autonomously and work as part of an integrated urgent care team to facilitate change and growth
• Operating hours will be building to ultimately cover 0800-2200 every day. Shift loading applies where applicable.
