Event description

This seminar has been created based on numerous requests by Nurse Practitioners to fill the gap in face-to-face education in advanced clinical skills. It will explore challenging situations that Nurse practitioners face in their unique roles.

This seminar will provide the nurse practitioner, advanced nurse, and midwife with skills to flourish in their roles, including essential assessment skills and communication skills to manage challenging situations.

Format

At this seminar you will:

• Learn to confidently analyse lung sounds and relate the pathophysiology of various respiratory disorders to these abnormal sounds
• Accurately interpret myocardial infarctions: anterior and inferior on a 12 lead ECG
• Learn about the pitfalls or dangers when prescribing medications that cause Long QT interval syndrome / disorder
• Recognise the signs and symptoms of burnout and learn strategies how to manage it
