Digital health

A new era in electronic prescriptions has begun with Active Script List

More than 219 million electronic prescriptions have been issued by general practices since 2020 – mainly via a token emailed or texted to patients for each script. This can result in misplaced or deleted tokens. The new Active Script List can replace tokens with a single repository for managing all scripts.

This short survey aims to understand how your general practice uses electronic prescriptions so we can better support you.

Learn more about Active Script List or email ehealth@bsphn.org.au for support at your practice.

Influenza vaccination coverage – how does your practice compare?

The National Centre for Immunisation Research and Surveillance (NCIRS) has released a snapshot of 2025’s influenza vaccination coverage to 31 May 2025. How does your practice’s influenza vaccination rate compare?

Support available for your general practice:

  • Use Primary Sense reports (Winter Wellness, Pregnant & Vaccinations, Diabetes Mellitus, Chronic Lung & Asthma, Child Immunisations and many more) to identify your eligible and priority patients for vaccination.

  • Ensure your practice has integrated your software with Australian Immunisation Register so you can easily check the immunisation status of each patient.

  • Refer to the Queensland Government free influenza vaccination campaign. All Queensland residents 6 months of age and older are eligible to receive a free vaccine before 30 September 2025.

  • The Brisbane South PHN Quality Improvement team can support your practice to increase influenza vaccination rates. Contact support@bsphn.org.au.
