We’re looking for up to 3 new members to join our Clinical Advisory Council.

We strongly encourage applications from the following professions, to fill current vacancies:
general practitioner (GP) — GPs who are practice owners are particularly encouraged to apply
nurse practitioners
allied health professionals — e.g. social workers and other professionals involved in chronic disease management and multidisciplinary team-based care.
What does our Clinical Advisory Council do?
The council advises the Brisbane South PHN Board on how to improve health care services to keep people healthy and well in the community and reduce preventable hospital admissions.
Council membership is made up of local health professionals who provide primary healthcare services to the community, including GPs, nurses, practice managers, pharmacists, allied health professionals, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health workers.
Who can join the Advisory Councils?
To be eligible for Clinical Advisory Council membership, you will need to:
work within the Brisbane South PHN regional boundaries
know the local health sector
have a clinical background within the roles specified above
want to improve the local health system in our region.
Membership details
Membership is from July 2025 to December 2027.
Council membership is a paid position (including superannuation).
Meetings must be attended every 3 months.
