Immunisation

Immunisation is a simple, safe and effective way of protecting people against harmful diseases before they come into contact with them. Immunisation protects not only individuals, but also others in the community by reducing the spread of preventable diseases.

The National Immunisation Program (NIP) Schedule is a series of immunisations provided at specific times throughout life, from birth through to adulthood. All vaccines listed on the NIP Schedule are free for people eligible for Medicare benefits.

In addition, state and territory health departments fund extra programs, so it’s important to refer to the Queensland Immunisation Program and Queensland Immunisation schedules for your practice to ensure full coverage.

To provide the best possible protection, make sure your patients receive their immunisations on time, every time.
