Brisbane South PHN is looking for a Manager – Mental Health, Suicide Prevention and AOD Program Development and Coordination to lead a team in the commissioning of programs in the Brisbane south region. This role is permanent full-time and reports to the General Manager – Mental Health, Suicide Prevention, AOD and Priority Programs.

Senior Program Development Coordinator — Child and Youth – Mental Health, Suicide Prevention, Alcohol and Other Drugs

Brisbane South PHN has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Program Development Coordinator (Child and Youth – Mental Health, Suicide Prevention, Alcohol and Other Drugs) superstar!

This position will lead and participate in the development, coordination and implementation of system supports in Brisbane south region to improve mental health and wellbeing outcomes for children and young people, and their families or carers.  The role will be responsible for driving innovative responses with key system partners, people with lived experience, community members and community mental health providers.  You will also coordinate across national partnerships to inform and report on the delivery of initiatives and outcomes within the Brisbane south region.  You will achieve this through developing a deep understanding of child and youth mental health, suicide prevention and alcohol and other drugs approaches and how they are, or might be, delivered in partnership across Brisbane south region.

Child, Youth & Family Practitioner (April 2023)

Exciting opportunity working with 7-17 year olds experiencing complex to severe and mental health issues, developing and delivering therapeutic interventions.

You will engage with children/young people and their families/supports in their home or school environment and develop strong relationships.  Using relevant psychosocial and therapeutic techniques, you will build capacity to identify and respond to their own needs.

The role of Nurse Navigator will be to provide advanced clinical and professional practice, facilitating a safe and efficient patient journey across the continuum of care to support children and young people from both Child Safety and Youth Justice pathways.  This will be facilitated through applying the Nurse Navigator principles of coordinating patient centred care, creating partnerships, improving patient outcomes and facilitating systems improvement.
