Brisbane South PHN works closely with local general practitioners (GPs) and general practice staff to enhance patient care and health outcomes through in-person and remote support provided by our Primary Care and GP Engagement teams. Opportunties for GPs

Get involved with Brisbane South PHN’s support for improving regional health outcomes. Join our advisory groups, clinical working groups, and service design projects. Most opportunities are remunerated—your expertise is valued as an important contribution to this collective effort.

Clinical Advisory Council

Our GP-led Clinical Advisory Council provide advice and insights to inform Brisbane South PHN's local responses to identified health needs and service gaps. Remunerated positions are offered for a 12 month term each year. Learn more about how you can get involved.

GP Engagement team

Our GP Engagement and Primary Care teams are here to support local GPs and practice staff. Contact us to request more information or to arrange a practice visit from one of our team members.

GP liaison officer (GPLO) program

Metro South Health’s GP liaison officers (GPLOs) help GPs refer patients to local public hospitals. GPLOs also train GPs who want to work with their maternity services in shared care. Learn more by visiting the Metro South Health website.

Patient transport services

Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) offers non-emergency transport to health services for eligible patients. Learn more about the transport service, eligibility requirements and book patient transport via the Non-Emergency Patient Transport (NEPT) online booking service.
