EVENT DESCRIPTION: Connect with fellow Residential Aged Care Home (RACH) providers across Brisbane South over a complimentary breakfast. This event offers a valuable space to share experiences, discuss key sector priorities, build relationships, and explore collaborative ways to support local RACH residents.

We can’t wait for you to hear from our stellar lineup of guest speakers! Dr Nash will be discussing the CAREPACT Connect role, a Brisbane South PHN and Commonwealth initiative to support RACH clinicians in their production of after-hours care plans and optimising the use of telehealth - where appropriate. After hours decisions are often fraught and dealing with something sudden - but it’s rarely unexpected! Instead, it’s about the expected fall, or fever, or new pain. Having a plan is what our residents and their supporters want us to proactively put in place - and it goes beyond advance care planning documents. It speaks to the core of good nursing and medical practice.

We’ll also hear from Dr Haunnah Rheault, nurse practitioner from The Prince Charles Hospital, who will walk us through her experience on the Nurse Practitioner Masterclass. Plus, Home Nurse Services will be dropping by to speak about their Nurse Practitioner model of care in RACH. You won’t want to miss it!
