Join us for an informative evening dedicated to increasing patient participation in the National Bowel and Cervical Screening Programs, as well as the upcoming National Lung Screening Program launching in July 2025.

Hear from expert speakers representing key organisations, explore valuable resources at our information stalls, and connect with fellow health professionals during this engaging and educational event.

SPEAKERS AND TOPICS:

Cervical cancer screening:

Presentation: Cervical screening in Australia in 2025 - rolling with change to achieve elimination of cervical cancer.

Speaker: Dr Caroline Harvey MBBS (Hons) MPM MPH Grad Dip Sexology DRANZCOG FRACGP. She is a co-Director of Iris Education, a Brisbane based company providing sexual and reproductive health education for clinicians. She has been active in clinical practice and teaching for the past 25 years and is a recognised expert in contraception with published research in implants and IUDs.

Bowel cancer screening:

Presentation: Reimagining Health Equity and Access in the National Bowel Cancer Screening Program.

Speaker: Nicole Marinucci is the Prevention Manager within the Department of Gastroenterology, PAH, and an experienced allied health professional with advanced knowledge in health promotion, health systems reform, research and health equity. She is currently a PhD Candidate with UQ Faculty of Medicine.

Lung cancer screening:

Speaker: Dr Craig Hukins is a respiratory and sleep physician at the Princess Alexandra Hospital and the Co-Chair of the Qld Respiratory and Sleep Clinical Network. Also on the Qld Clinical Network Executive, representing the voice of clinicians to the Department of Health.

Event finish: 8.00pm
