Event organiser

This event is sponsored by Brisbane South PHN and facilitated by The Centre for culture, ethnicity and health.

Think your communication is clear enough? Join the Centre for culture, ethnicity and health for a 2.5-hour interactive workshop and discover how small changes can make a big difference.

You’ll learn:

  • Practical strategies to simplify your written and spoken communication
  • Tips for working effectively with interpreters
  • Hands-on activities to apply plain language techniques right away
  • Insights from peers on common challenges and solutions
  • Walk away with tools to help your message reach more people.

On the day of the workshop have with you a piece of written material that you regularly use in your work (such as a standard email, form, webpage, or resource). During the workshop, you’ll have the chance to review it and apply the skills you learn to reflect and improve on it.

Audience: Primary care health workforce – general practice staff, community and health service providers, Brisbane South PHN commissioned services providers, anyone working in a healthcare setting
