Webinar: You Decide: Navigating UTI Management in General Practice
- October 22nd, 2026
- 5:00pm - 6:30pm
- Free
Event Owner: Bond University
Event Description: Join the Evidence-based Anitmicrobial Stewardship: Sustainable Implementation in Primary Care (EASSI-PC) team for an interactive group learning session on managing urinary tract infections in general practice.
Using a “choose your own adventure” format, we’ll work through a real-world scenario — a female patient presenting with UTI — and explore the decision points GPs face in consultation. This is a chance to learn from other GPs about how they approach these consultations, and to share your own reasoning in a supportive setting.
Speakers
- Dr. Ruby Biezen
- Prof. Jo-Anne Manski-Nankervis
- A/Prof. Ralph Audehm
- Dr. Kirsty Buising
- Dr. Matthew Suen
- Mr. Ron Cheah
CPD hours are available for this activity.
About EASSI-PC
Over 10 million Australians receive antibiotics annually, often for self-limiting infections, contributing to the avoidable threat of antimicrobial resistance. This threatens the availability of affordable and reliable treatments for everyday infections, bringing us nearer to a post-antibiotic era. Despite strong evidence for antimicrobial stewardship (AMS) interventions, real-world uptake in primary care remains limited.
The Evidence-based Antimicrobial Stewardship: Sustainable Implementation in Primary Care (EASSI-PC) trial aims to close this evidence-practice gap by implementing, evaluating, and scaling up co-designed AMS strategies with general practitioners, tailored to real-world general practice setting.
