Translated cancer screening resources for multicultural communities

The Australian Government website offers a wide range of translated cancer screening resources including posters, fact sheets, and instruction guides.

These materials are freely available online for practices to download and print.

Some of the materials can be ordered to your practice. Consider the needs of your patient population — having a few copies on-hand can be invaluable during health assessments, care planning, or other opportunistic moments.

Professional development plans — CPD requirements for GPs

Have you completed your professional development plan for 2026? The Medical Board requires every general practitioner (GP) to complete a plan outlining how continuous professional development (CPD) requirements will be achieved. More information is available from the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) website.

Participating in and documenting your quality improvement (QI) activities helps you meet the reviewing performance and measuring outcomes hours. Your practice may already be working with Brisbane South PHN staff and receiving face-to-face QI coaching support or completing a self-paced activity. Add these activities to your professional development plan.

If you are unsure if your practice is participating, please contact the General Practice Quality Improvement team at [email protected] or call 07 3864 7540.
