Chronic kidney disease snapshot
MedicineInsight is a national program that access to monthly general practice reports on primary healthcare priority areas.
Their new ‘GP Snapshot’ on chronic kidney disease (CKD), brings together aggregated data from Australian general practices about CKD detection and diagnosis. View the MedicineInsight GP Snapshot.
General practices can access further information and receive customised practice reports through the MedicineInsight program. Managed by the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care, this program is free for all general practices in Australia.

Updated MyMedicare resources
MyMedicare registration is voluntary and requires informed consent from your patients.
In some circumstances, a patient may be unable to provide consent due to limited or impaired decision-making capacity. In these cases, a registration may be completed by the patient’s authorised representative.
Official guidance on consent and lack of capacity to consent in MyMedicare is outlined in the MyMedicare Program Guidelines.
What practices need to know
When registering patients, ensure the correct exemption pathway is selected on the MyMedicare Registration Form or recorded in the HPOS system (including applying updated exemption categories).
Completed registration forms must be kept by the practice in the patient’s clinical record and must not be sent to Services Australia or the Department.
Use updated patient-facing resources (brochures and posters) to support conversations about MyMedicare registration.
