Guest speakers from Brisbane South PHN include:
Eden Malama
Eden Malama is the Manager for Cultural Diversity at Brisbane South PHN, providing oversight of refugee health, First Nations health, Pasifika and Māori health and wellbeing, and broader multicultural portfolios.
She leads region-wide approaches that strengthen culturally responsive commissioning, support primary care integration, and build workforce and system capacity. Eden works across government, grassroots organisations, commissioned providers, and communities to translate equity priorities into practical system change, strengthen access and coordination, and drive innovative, evidence-informed approaches to culturally responsive service delivery across the local primary care system.
Micaela Rae
Micaela is a former emergency nurse and international aid worker who works in the Multicultural Health team at Brisbane South PHN as a Senior Program Development Coordinator. Micaela is passionate about improving health literacy and providing equitable healthcare access for those who most need it in our society, particularly those who face the intersectionality of inequities related to ethnic background and disability.
