New Gestational Diabetes Mellitus e-learning course

Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is a common pregnancy-related condition associated with significant short- and long-term health risks for both mother and baby. GDM is diagnosed when elevated blood glucose levels are detected during pregnancy.

The Queensland Government has launched a new and updated course, Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (GDM): Knowledge, Skills and Application.

About the Gestational Diabetes e-learning modules

Completing the course provides up-to-date, evidence-based learning aligned with the latest Queensland Clinical Guidelines (QCG) updates and Australasian Diabetes in Pregnancy Society (ADIPS) consensus recommendations from July 2025.

The course includes 12 modules, each requiring approximately 30 minutes to complete. Learners can progress through the content at their own pace, prioritising modules that align with their learning objectives and professional development needs.

Clinicians can download certificates of completion for individual modules or the full course to support Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities.
