New Minor Injury and Illness Clinic (MIIC) now open in Meadowbrook, Logan
The new Meadowbrook Health Centre Minor Injuries and Illness Clinic (MIIC) is now open.
Located at 6-12 Nestor Drive, the Meadowbrook Health Centre MIIC can treat minor illnesses and injuries that aren’t life-threatening when patients can't see their general practitioner (GP).
The new clinic is designed to provide locals with more essential healthcare services closer to home, helping to reduce avoidable patient presentations to hospital emergency departments.
Meadowbrook’s Minor Injuries and Illness Clinic is the latest in a string of new urgent care services, Urgent Care Clinics (UCCs) | Brisbane South PHN, opened across the region over the past 18 months to improve access to timely care when a GP appointment is unavailable.
The Eight Mile Plains Satellite Health Centre has had an amazing response since opening in May last year, so I am proud that the Logan community will now have the same opportunity to access more high-quality care locally.

About the Meadowbrook Health Centre Minor Injuries and Illness Clinic (MIIC)
The MIIC can treat adults, teenagers and children over 3 months for non-urgent health conditions, including:
fevers, coughs and colds
tooth ache or ear ache
infections and rashes
minor eye issues
minor cuts and burns
broken bones
minor head injuries
strains and sprains.
Opening hours: 8 am to 10 pm, 7 days a week

Redlands Satellite Health Centre (Talwalpin Milbul – a name chosen by the Redlands Coast community and local Traditional Owners and Elders meaning ‘Redland Bay alive/ active’ in Jandai language)
Eight Mile Plains Satellite Health Centre (Maroo-goodji-ba – a name chosen by the community and local traditional Owners and Elders meaning ‘peace, wellbeing and place of red earth’ in the Yagarabul language).
