NEW First Nations Immunisations Toolkit for General Practice

The First Nations Immunisations toolkit provides practical support to general practices to boost immunisation rates and improve health outcomes for First Nations peoples.

 Why use the toolkit?

It helps your practice:

  • Integrate the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) with your clinical software to maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date immunisation records for your patients.

  • Identify First Nations children and adults who are due or overdue for vaccinations to help prevent severe illness, long-term complications, and hospitalisations.

  • Follow a simple step-by-step guide and complete the quality improvement activities at your own pace.

My Health Record upgrade

My Health Record was upgraded on 13 October 2025. This upgrade removed the current 7-day access restriction for most pathology reports once uploaded and reduced the delay to 5 days for other reports. For certain categories (including anatomical pathology, cytopathology, and genetic tests) results are now available to consumers after a 5-day delay, regardless of test outcome.

See more information about these changes and the impact for consumers

You can continue to use My Health Record during the upgrade. If you need assistance at any time, call the Australian Digital Health Agency Help line 1800 723 471 (Select Option 2).
