Share your clinical insights—A new model of sexual health care for LGBTQA+ people with disability is being developed
Health care professionals are invited to take part in a survey for the Across the Margins Study - Sexual health of LGBTQA+ people with disability being conducted by Western Sydney University.
The Across the Margins Study aims to understand the current practices, challenges, and opportunities healthcare professionals experience when providing sexual health care or support to lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer, asexual, and other sexuality, or gender diverse (LGBTQA+) people with disability.
The study aims to:
identify the unmet sexual health care needs of LGBTQA+ people with disability
develop a model of sexual health care
implement and evaluate the model of sexual health care.
Western Sydney University researchers will use the information gathered from the survey to develop a co-designed model of sexual health care to improve the effectiveness, inclusiveness, and accessibility of services, supports, and information for LGBTQA+ people with disability.
Your experiences and expertise as a healthcare professional are important to the development of this model.
