Event Description

The Metro South GP Maternity Shared Care Team are hosting an Alignment 2 (AM2) practical education seminar on September 7th 08.00 – 16.00 at The Brisbane South Private Hospital, Springwood 4127.

This session is tailored for practitioners that provide maternity care to families within Logan, Beaudesert, and Redland catchments. This education day will have presentations from Obstetricians, Paediatricians, our Lactation Consultant and Midwives.

The event will focus on:
• Prenatal Consultations - essential components
• Genetic Carrier Screening
• Expanding care of mothers & babies with complexities (MFM)
• Maternal Postnatal care • Breastfeeding
• Neonatal Care

NOTE: Although this session is open to all practitioners who care for Maternity patients, the AM2 education day will NOT allow you to be aligned with Metro South for GP Shared Care, you still have to complete an AM1 program.
