Webinar: Self-compassion and self-care

Event Organiser: Brisbane South PHN Event.

Strengthening the GP workforce by supporting GP health and wellbeing is vital at this time after the last two years of disruption with Covid-19. Enabling GPs to care for themselves, their colleagues and their practice team is an important part of the re-setting of primary care. Enabling peer support within the GP workforce improves the capacity of general practice to continue delivering care to those with the greatest need.

AUDIENCE: GPs and practice nurses

SPEAKER: Dr Margaret Kay, GP

Dr Margaret Kay is an Australian leader in doctors’ health. Having worked in this field for over twenty years as clinician, researcher and educator, her internationally recognised work has challenged the medical profession helping to shift its mindset towards a focus on physician wellbeing. In 2022 Dr Kay received a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) General Division – for significant service to medicine, to medical education, and to migrant health.
