The Healthy Together Project eLearning modules aim to empower healthcare professionals (including general practice staff, allied health professionals and pharmacists) with the knowledge and skills needed to support patients with intellectual disabilities.
The 5 practical modules (30 to 60 minutes each), developed in collaboration with Parent to Parent and Loud and Clear QLD, explore different aspects of caring for patients with intellectual disabilities and provides insights from people with lived experiences.
Throughout the course, you'll find a variety of tools, resources, and real-world scenarios designed to enhance your ability to provide compassionate and effective care to this vulnerable population. The course is also CPD-accredited with RACGP, APNA and APC.

Quality improvement (QI) steps for delivering patient-centred, inclusive and comprehensive care to individuals with intellectual disabilities
The Intellectual Disability Care Quality Improvement (QI) Toolkit offers a practical, step-by-step approach to help primary care practices strengthen their ability to provide fair, inclusive, and person-centred care for patients with intellectual disabilities.
Designed with the realities of busy practices in mind, this toolkit provides practical tools and resources that enable teams to create lasting, positive change and improve health outcomes for patients with intellectual disabilities.
Through embedding structured QI processes into how your practice operates, clinicians and practice staff can feel better supported to address the complex needs of patients with intellectual disability and overcome barriers to care.
Key aspects of the toolkit include:
pinpointing gaps and challenges in current care practices
applying proven, evidence-based strategies
driving measurable improvements in service delivery.
