Changes to the COVID-19 Primary Care Onboarding process — Vaccine Operations Centre (VOC) to onboard primary care sites
The Department of Health and Aged Care (The Department) wish to advise that there is a change to the process for onboarding new sites to the National COVID-19 Vaccination Program (NCVP).
The Department is transitioning COVID-19 activities to align with other Australian Government-funded vaccine programs. As such, the COVID-19 Primary Care Onboarding process will move from the Vaccine Access Section to the Vaccine Operations Centre (VOC) within the National Immunisation Division early in 2025.
From 2 January 2025, new sites wishing to join the NCVP will now need to contact the VOC directly to register their expression of interest.
Next steps for COVID-19 Primary Care Onboarding:
Primary Health Networks (PHNs) will no longer onboard primary care sites to the NCVP.
Primary care sites wishing to participate in the program will now need to contact the VOC directly. Call centre staff from the VOC will be able to collect the information required to onboard the site.
From 2 January 2024, PHNs will direct any new or recommencing sites to the VOC at COVID19VaccineOperationsCentre@health.gov.au or by telephone at 1800 318 208.
Please contact the VOC directly with any queries about the NCVP through the contact email and phone number above. The VOC are best placed to assist sites and have systems in place to collect a history of all interactions with the primary care sites.
