Have your say on the 13YARN Crisis Support Service: take the evaluation survey

The Australian Government's Department of Health and Aged Care (the Department) has engaged Scyne Advisory and Yamagigu Consulting to conduct an independent evaluation into the Lifeline-funded, 13YARN national Indigenous crisis support line.

13YARN is a national crisis support line for First Nations peoples and offers confidential 1-on-1 yarning opportunities with Lifeline-trained First Nations Crisis Supporters who can provide support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

As part of the evaluation, the Department seeks to understand what level of awareness mainstream service providers and practitioners have of 13YARN, their likeliness to refer people to 13YARN and any suggestions for integration or delivery.

The evaluation will assess:

  • the service's efficiency, accessibility, effectiveness, and cultural appropriateness
  • awareness of the program.

The evaluation will include recommendations for service delivery improvements.

Service providers and practitioners delivering healthcare services to First Nations peoples are invited to complete the survey.
