As part of the rollout of the new General Practice in Aged Care Incentive, Services Australia assess how participating general practices are meeting the service requirements at the end of fixed quarters.
The first assessment quarter (July 2024 to September 2024) of the General Practice in Aged Care Incentive has concluded. As we move into the second assessment quarter, now is a good time to reflect on the progress your practice has made in supporting eligible patients through the Incentive, and to review the resources available to support your ongoing efforts in providing quality care for aged care residents

About assessment quarters for the General Practice in Aged Care Incentive
At the end of each assessment quarter, Services Australia will confirm whether your practice has met the service requirements in order for you to receive the incentive payment.
The General Practice in Aged Care Incentive Program Guidelines outline service requirements that need to be met to be eligible for the incentive payment. View the service requirements online: health.gov.au/our-work/gpaci#servicing-requirements-.
The dates of these fixed quarters are:
- 1 July to 30 September 2024
- 1 October to 31 December 2024
- 1 January to 31 March 2025
- 1 April to 30 June 2025.
