How successful has the project been?

23 general practices across the region participated in the free COVID vaccination reminder project between 1 July 2024 and 30 June 2025. Through this initiative, practices were supported to identify patients aged 75 years and over who were eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine.

During this period, participating practices sent 7,638 SMS invitations to eligible patients, resulting in 890 vaccinations being administered — an average of 46.8 patients per practice.
