Quality Improvement
Enhance your quality improvement efforts with our newly upgraded Model for Improvement (MFI) and Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) template.
View the new and improved MFI and PDSA template on our Quality Improvement page. The General Practice Quality Improvement (GPQI) team collaborated closely with general practices to create a streamlined, user-friendly PDSA template designed to support your team’s quality improvement efforts. This upgraded tool simplifies planning, tracking, and refining your improvement activities, ensuring a more efficient and effective approach to enhancing patient care.
Undertaking and documenting your QI efforts helps your practice to:
measure quality improvements in patient health outcomes
meet RACGP accreditation requirements
meet Practice Incentive Program (PIP) requirements (Practice Incentives Program Quality Improvement Incentive)
assist GPs to meet their CPD hours.

Helpful resources for GPs
Opioid dependence treatment — GP resource toolkit
Many GPs in our region have requested resources to better support patients who are dependent on opioids.
In response, Brisbane South PHN, along with 6 other QLD PHNs across Queensland have partnered with Insight to develop a range of print and digital resources that outline the different treatment and support options available, including how to:
become authorised to prescribe ODT medications like buprenorphine and methadone
engage in collaborative or Shared Care arrangements with local public alcohol and other drugs (AOD) service.
All resources can be freely accessed and downloaded from the Insight website.
