Pneumococcal and COVID immunisation opportunity for your patients
Your practice is invited to make use of a free patient SMS service to help automate patient recall and increase vaccination rates.
In partnership with content distribution platform GoShare, Brisbane South PHN invites your practice to register for the pneumococcal and / or COVID-19 vaccination recall activities.
Available to practices using MedicalDirector or Best Practice, these activities include unlimited free SMS credits to recall eligible patients and help identify those aged 70+ for pneumococcal vaccination and 75+ for COVID-19 vaccination. Each activity takes approximately 15 minutes time to set-up.
To participate, submit your expression of interest (EOI) for the Pneumococcal Vaccination Recall Program and / or Covid-19 Vaccination Activity. Once your expression of interest is received, GoShare will contact you with next steps.

APNA Nursing Clinical Placement Program — Paid opportunities to host student nurses for clinical placement hours
The Australian Primary Health Care Nurses Association (APNA) is looking for primary health care teams passionate about their field to host undergraduate and postgraduate student nurses for clinical placement hours, as part of the National Nursing Clinical Placement Program.
This program places student nurses under the supervision of registered nurses (RNs) in primary health care settings, with the aim of supporting the primary health care nursing workforce.
Benefits to clinics include but are not limited to:
APNA will pay clinics $50/day/student, with most placements being 2 to 4 weeks in duration (which would equal $500 to $1,000 per placement).
APNA trains supervising nurses for free, ensuring they’re confident to host students, with full support throughout.
Clinics don’t need to have any agreements with any education providers, just one agreement with APNA.
There is no need to change any of the clinic’s insurance as education providers cover students’ insurance.
Find out more about the program and apply.
