Continuing professional development (CPD) hours for completing quality improvement

As part of the current triennium, general practitioners (GPs) are required to complete hours in Reviewing Performance or Measuring Outcomes. More information is available via the RACGP.

The Brisbane South PHN Quality Improvement team is here to support GPs in identifying areas for improvement—whether clinical, systems-based, or data-related—and assist in planning, implementing, and reviewing QI activities. From defining goals and engaging your team to tracking progress and outcomes, we’ll guide you through each step.

New Primary Sense report to support National Lung Cancer Screening Program: available now

The National Lung Cancer Screening Program (NLCSP) is a screening program using low-dose computed tomography (low-dose CT) scans to look for lung cancer in high-risk people without any symptoms. It aims to find lung cancer early and save lives. Screening for eligible people is available now.

Primary Sense has launched a new report to support general practices to identify and recall their patients for screening. The National Lung Cancer Screening report can assist to streamline workflows and reduce administrative burden for practices.

Education and training opportunities

Admin Health Check Online

Do you need support and training to onboard new administrative staff in your practice? Brisbane South PHN has recently updated our free, online learning course, Admin Health Check Online. Available through DiscoverPHN, this course has been developed to provide foundational knowledge for the primary care administrative workforce.

The course covers a range of topics, such as:
