Free breakfast event: Join us for a digital health information session on changes to My Health Record and more
Join us for an information session over a free breakfast on Wednesday 10 June 2026 and ensure your health organisation is across major changes to My Health Record.
In the coming months, all organisations connected to My Health Record will need to comply with new rules, including mandatory requirements to have and retain:
a security and access policy
records of staff training in the security and access policy for 5 years
records showing how an organisation applies required security measures for 2 years.
Other changes are already underway, with pathology and diagnostic imaging reports now uploaded to My Health Record by default.

Allied Health Professions Australia (AHPA), the national peak body for allied health professions, is working with Brisbane South PHN to better understand allied health needs and priorities of allied health professionals working in our communities.
Allied health providers are invited to complete a short survey, or join a face-to-face workshop.
Participants who submit their survey responses have the chance to win 1 of 5 gift cards valued at $100.
New hepatitis B awareness campaign launches — Free resources for clinicians and patients
Because hepatitis B is not included in routine blood tests, it’s helpful for clinicians to remember that hepatitis B disproportionately affects people born outside of Australia and those who speak a language other than English at home. In some areas, more than 1 in 100 people may be living with chronic hepatitis B.
Clinicians caring for patients from First Nations and multicultural communities can help change these statistics by keeping hepatitis B testing in mind.
As part of a national awareness initiative, Hepatitis Australia with support from the Australian Centre for Disease Control is running a community campaign. Resources for patients in English, Chinese, and Tagalog (Filipino) are on the campaign website.
Healthcare providers play a key role in testing and managing hepatitis B infections by:
encouraging testing
delivering culturally appropriate care
connecting patients to treatment and follow‑up services.
To support this work, a GP information pack is available for healthcare providers caring for people with, or at risk of, hepatitis B.
