Have your say: Consultation session on mental health, suicide prevention, alcohol and other drug (MHSPAOD) treatment services
General practitioners, practice nurses and practice staff are invited to share your insights and experiences in an online remunerated consultation session focused on the regional needs, priorities, and service gaps of the mental health, suicide prevention, alcohol and other drug (MHSPAOD) treatment services in our region.
Your valuable input will help shape the Brisbane South Joint Regional Plan for Mental Health, Suicide Prevention, and Alcohol and Other Drugs (2025-2030) and contribute to improving MHSPAOD services for the community.
What is the Joint Regional Plan?
The Joint Regional Plan is a strategic document mandated by the Commonwealth for Primary Health Networks (PHNs), undertaken in collaboration with Metro South Addiction and Mental Health Services (MSAMS).
The purpose of the Brisbane South Joint Regional MHSPAOD Plan 2025-2030 is to develop a comprehensive and integrated approach to mental health, suicide prevention, and alcohol and other drug services within our region. The Plan aims to:
ensure that all people living in Brisbane South can access the services and support they need
address fragmentation in the health system by enhancing coordination and cooperation across service providers
build on the foundational work of previous plans and respond to the evolving needs of the community.
