From Monday 31 March 2025, Head to Health services are being rebranded to align with the Medicare Mental Health brand.
The name change will not impact the quality or function of services provided.

Medicare Mental Health Centres in the Brisbane South PHN region
Medicare Mental Health Centres provide a safe and welcoming place where anyone can access mental health information, services and support. Services through Medicare Mental Health Centres are free and do not need a prior appointment or GP referral to access them. There are currently 2 Medicare Mental Health Centres in our region:
The Redlands Medicare Mental Health Centre is located at 40 Middle Street, Cleveland, QLD 4163.
It operates from 10 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday.
People do not need an appointment or referral for care. They can walk in and wait to be seen by the Centre’s staff for free, immediate support.

The Logan Medicare Mental Health Centre is located at 91 Wembley Road, Logan Central, QLD 4114.
It operates from 10 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday.
People do not need an appointment or referral for care. They can walk in and wait to be seen by the Centre’s staff for free, immediate support.

Medicare Mental Health phone service (formerly the Head to Health Phone Service) continues to connect people to local support services
People who are not able to visit a Medicare Mental Health Centre in person can call the Medicare Mental Health phone service (1800 595 212) to speak to a trained professional or receive a referral to a suitable mental health service. The service is available Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm (except public holidays).
GPs and other health professionals are encouraged to access the Medicare Mental Health phone service (formerly the Head to Health Phone Service) for advice in supporting their patients and navigating local mental health services that meet the needs of the patient.
Phone service staff ensure that your patient is referred to the appropriate mental health support service with a warm handover.
Medicare Mental Health phone service will continue to keep in touch with the patient until they are connected with the appropriate service provider.
