Host student nurses for clinical placement hours — Inspire students to choose a career in primary health care

Australian Primary Health Care Nurses Association (APNA) is looking for primary health care teams passionate about their field to host undergraduate and postgraduate student nurses for clinical placement hours. With a predicted shortage of nurses working in primary health care in the coming years, help make primary health care the first choice for graduates. By hosting students in your workplace, you can show the next generation of nurses how rewarding a career in primary health care can be.

About the Clinical Placement Program

By hosting students in your workplace, you can show the next generation of nurses how rewarding a career in primary health care can be. Benefits for your practice include:

  • a payment to your workplace of $50 per student per day.
  • support for supervising RNs throughout the program, including educational and professional development opportunities that add to your CPD hours
  • 2 to 4 week placement windows available throughout the year
