We’re looking for community-minded individuals to join our Clinical and Community Advisory Councils.

We strongly encourage people from multicultural communities, people living in Logan, Beaudesert and the Southern Moreton Islands, young adults (18 to 25 years old), people with disability, First Nations people and/or people who identify as part of the LGBTIQA+ community to apply.
What do our Advisory Councils do?
The purpose of both the Clinical and the Community Advisory Councils is to provide insights and advice to the Brisbane South PHN Board and CEO to support decision-making on initiatives to address the unique population health needs in the Brisbane South PHN region.
Who can join the Advisory Councils?
To be eligible for Community Advisory Council membership, you will need to:
- live within the Brisbane South PHN boundaries
- understand local health issues
- have lived experience of the primary care sector in our local region
- represent community views, including the patient/carer experience
- be willing to connect with and influence these groups.
To be eligible for Clinical Advisory Council membership, you will need to:
- work within the Brisbane South PHN boundaries
- know the local health sector
- have a clinical background (e.g. General Practitioners, nurses, allied health professionals, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health workers and specialists)
- want to improve the local health system in our region.
Membership details
- Membership is from January 2025 to December 2027.
- Council membership is a paid position (including superannuation).
- Meetings must be attended every 3 months.
